Services

A good design, by definition, must also solve a concrete problem. So a well-designed website should not only look good, it must meet your business objectives.

Web design is a collaborative process. Through a series of consultations, you tell us what your requirements are and we will find the best way of meeting them and advise you on what technologies fit your needs.

We excel in the following services:

Of course, we always keep Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and web standards in mind throughout the development process.

If you have a project that you think would interest us, drop us a line and tell us more about it. We would be happy to have a discussion on how we can work together.

Web Design & Development

As much as possible, we develop websites that follow web standards. From simple X/HTML and CSS to full fledged database-driven sites to mobile integration, we can tap into our broad technological expertise to make sure your website will do what it was designed to do.

Content Management System

A site is only as good as the content that it offers and the best content is updated content. Your site must be able to keep pace with the changing business environment.

A Content Management System gives you control over your site's content. It allows you to update your business offerings and offer timely news and updates to your customers. It increases the interactivity of your site and offers more value to your customers.

E-Commerce System

Putting up an online business is a serious undertaking. We can help to make it as painless as possible with a customized e-Commerce system. Whether you are selling T-Shirts, toys, books, services, movie tickets or MP3s, an e-Commerce system will allow you to

  • maintain your product catalog
  • offer shopping cart functionality
  • handle tax, shipping, invoicing
  • offer payment options: PayPal, credit cards, etc.

Mobile Services

Being online is no longer limited to browsing the Web. Mobile phones, more ubiquitous than ever, offer a unique way of reaching your target market. Integrating mobile services such as Short Message Service (SMS) will allow you to interact with your customers even if they are not sitting in front of their computers.

Mobile services and SMS can be used to

  • send mobile advertising for promotions
  • send alerts and reminders from your site
  • offer information services such as weather, stock quotes or news
  • offer discounts and special offers through mobile coupons

Social Media

Social media is transforming the previously anonymous and impersonal nature of the Web. More and more people are connecting with friends and bringing their real life relationships online. Friends' recommendations, word of mouse and the wisdom of the online crowds are viral mechanisms you can tap into to strengthen your online presence.

  • promote your brand using social networking sites such as Facebook, MySpace and LinkedIn
  • publish your events in social news sites like Digg and Reddit
  • give your customers the chance to rave about your new product line in blogging services like Blogger and TypePad
  • increase your visibility to special interest groups through bookmarking sites like del.icio.us and StumbleUpon
  • use mcro-blogging service Twitter as an effective viral marketing tool
  • increase the reach of your marketing campaigns with RSS feeds and email subscriptions

Yes, Virginia, we do SEO

We believe that Search Engine Optimization (SEO) should be a given when building a website and not just be an afterthought. After all, your brand spanking new site with all its content is of no use if no one can find it. By including it from inception, we make sure that your site is designed from the ground up with your search terms in mind. No keyword stuffing or other dubious methods here, just search engine friendly tips and tricks to help get your site into Google's good books.

What About Web Standards?

We put a lot of stock in developing according to Web Standards. A site that has been built to web standards is easier to maintain, more extensible, more accessible, future-proof and compatible with newer browsers. But we look at them more as guidelines, rather than strict rules. Sometimes, we break those rules in order to implement a certain functionality that your site needs.

Sometimes, the only way we can achieve a certain functionality is by using browser-specific extensions that have not made it into any web standards. As long as it is currently the only existing way to implement it and adds value to your site, then standards take a back seat to your business requirements

At the end of the day, YOU, not the W3C, stand on hallowed ground.
